Insecticide Intice Smart Ant Gel, 1.5 oz

Intice Smart Ant Gel is a gel based bait designed for both professional and amateur use. It contains a mix of four essential carbohydrates in a sweet bait gel that ants simply love. This product will not dry out like other bait gels, and won't drip or run even in hot weather or other conditions. It is also accepted by a wide variety of common household ants, as the active ingredient is borax, an important boron compound - a mineral and a salt of boric acid. Borax is a component of many detergents, cosmetics, and enamel glazes and is used to make buffer solutions in biochemistry, as a fire retardant, an antifungal compound in the manufacture of fiberglass, as a flux in metallurgy and neutron-capture shields for radioactive sources, a texturing agent in cooking and as a precursor for other boron compounds. Along with its inverse, boric acid, is useful as an insecticide. Powdered borax is white, made from soft colorless crystals that dissolve in water. Commercially sold borax is partially dehydrated.
