Product information
Temprid SC is a professional product which offers a unique dual mode of action by combining two powerful and effective residual insecticides: beta-cyfluthrin and imidacloprid. Thanks to one of its active ingredients, Imidacloprid, it causes a blockage of the nicotinergic neuronal pathway and prevents acetylcholine from transmitting impulses between nerves, resulting in paralysis and eventual death. The second active substance, Cyfluthrin, is a pyrethroid insecticide and common household pesticide. Having a complex organic compound, the commercial product is sold as a mixture of isomers.
Both active ingredients target the nervous system of pests. The ingredients are co-milled, meaning pests are exposed to both ingredients with every application. Imidacloprid is used for its transferal properties where a pest that is affected can transfer the product onto an untreated pest. Imidacloprid provides a slower kill than beta-cyfluthrin.
