Product information
Maxforce Fly Spot is a professional insecticide recommended by many insect control operators against fly problems. Flies will be attracted to the bait and die within seconds (60 seconds or less). The active ingredients are Imidacloprid and (Z)-9-Tricosene. Imidacloprid is a systemic insecticide which acts upon the central nervous system of insects by interfering with the transmission of stimuli in their nervous system. Specifically, it causes a blockage of the nicotinergic neuronal pathway and prevents acetylcholine from transmitting impulses between nerves, resulting in paralysis and eventual death. (Z)-9-Tricosene is an insect pheromone found in dipteran flies such as the housefly, where females produce it to attract males to mate. This pheromone is used as a pesticide, to lure males to traps to prevent them from reproducing.
