Product information
OSMO is an adjuvant, which has the property of regulating the pH of the water used in foliar spraying.
Acidification of water increases the availability of nutrients, especially calcium and magnesium, does not allow alkaline hydrolysis of active substances used in treatment, and improves their mixing.
Achieving an optimal pH value is fundamental in order to obtain a high efficacy in the case of many fungicides, herbicides, organophosphorus pesticides, products based on natural pyrethrins, or other fungicides and insecticides of natural origin.
One product, 3 solutions:
-In the tank - Improves the Physico-chemical parameters of the mixture;
-Spraying - Ensures excellent spray quality;
-On weeds - Increases the accessibility of active substances for plants.
Key factors for obtaining treatments with maximum efficiency:
-The order of introduction of the products in the tank
-Fill the spray equipment tank with up to ¾ water;
-An appropriate dose of OSMO is added;
-Wait for 5-10 minutes;
-Then add the other products depending on the forms - WSP, WP, WG, SC, SL, EW, EC, OD;
-Air humidity higher than 70%;
-Wind speed, lack or weakness;
-Temperature 10-12 ° C.
The more stable the solution, the more effective the treatment!
Protects the active substance against hydrolysis and complexation:
-Adjust the pH of the solution to the optimum level;
-Allows to keep the nozzles clean;
-Reduces surface tension;
-Increases the adhesion of the spray solution to the plant preparation.
Water is a vector of pesticide treatments. Therefore, it is necessary to control and improve its Physico-chemical parameters, in order to maximize the efficiency of plant protection solutions.
pH. The optimum pH range of the working solution is between 5.5 and 6.5. If pH ≥ 7, the phenomenon of alkaline hydrolysis will destroy pesticide particles in a progressive but unlimited way.
Hardness. Ca and Mg ions (positively charged) will be composed of pesticide particles, which are negatively charged. The phenomenon of complexation deactivates the active components, in a fast but limited way.
These two chemical reactions, if not controlled, can lead to a 30% decrease in treatment efficiency.
