Product information
Affirm is an insecticide to combat lepidoptera in fruit growing, viticulture and vegetable growing. It is a natural product belonging to the avermectin chemical group.
Mode of action:
Affirm acts by blocking the transmission of nerve signals from the insect, which pass through the chloreal channels in the muscles. The insect stops feeding immediately, paralyzes irreversibly and dies in a relatively short time. Affirm acts specifically on lepidopterans by contact and ingestion. The product has local systemic (translaminar or penetrant) movement in the treated plant organs, where it enters inside and forms an active product reservoir that protects the plant against lepidopterans very effectively.
Preparation of the solution:
Affirm is dissolved in 10 liters of water, after which the slurry is added to the tank of the sprinkler, half filled with clean water, then filled with the remaining volume of water, stirring continuously till filling. The agitation system will also be maintained during application. In order to ensure a maximum effect of control, it is advisable to cover the crops even better and evenly. Avoid applying at high daytime temperatures, when pests are less exposed and photodegradation is intense.
