Product information
BactoSpeine DF is a biological insecticide (natural microorganisms) in the form of water-dispersible granules. It is recommended to use this product to control pests of the order Lepidoptera (caterpillars, moths, butterflies), vegetable crops, and ornamental plants in the field of protected areas (solariums, greenhouses) and fruit trees.
Mode of action:
BactoSpeine DF acts on the larvae, the target pests, immediately after they consume the treated plants. The intestinal walls begin to degrade, the larvae can no longer feed and die in 24 to 72 hours. The effectiveness of BactoSpeine DF in controlling young larvae of the order Lepidoptera is similar to that of conventional insecticides, administered according to the recommendations of specialists.
Application method:
BactoSpeine DF is applied when the first larvae are observed, preferably during periods of active feeding. The treatments are repeated at intervals of 7-10 days. A maximum of 8 treatments is performed for one crop, per season, using a minimum product concentration of 100 g per 100 l of water. Higher doses are needed when the pressure of attack is high or when larval populations are mixed with individuals in advanced stages of development.
For good protection, the application interval is reduced to 7 days, in the conditions of the fast development of the cultures.
BactoSpeine DF acts on the surface of the plant. The product is not administered on plants when they have wet foliage. It is not recommended to carry out treatments when rains are expected in less than 6 hours.
It has no known impact on the development of natural predator populations and beneficial insects in integrated pest management programs. It is biodegradable. Under the conditions of a correct application and by the manufacturer's recommendations, immediately after preparation, the pH of the solution will be maintained between values 6 and 8.
