Product information

Benevia is an insecticide of the class anthranilic diamide in the form of an oil dispersion that must be mixed with water and applied in the form of a foliar spray. The product is particularly effective for both pest-sucking and defoliating species and is specially formulated for maximum performance by foliar applications in onions, potatoes and tomatoes. The insecticide enters the larvae primarily by ingestion, but also by contact. Exposure to harmful species usually causes them to stop feeding quickly within a few hours of contact, but the time to death can take 3 to 6 days, depending on the species. The product has ovicidal, ovarian, viricidal action depending on the species. After a few hours of contact, the insect becomes paralyzed, which causes the cessation of movement and feeding after 24-60 hours of ingestion or absorption.

The product is systemic, mobile by xylem when applied on stems, shoots or petioles or when taken up by roots. The persistence of the product is from 5 to 14 days, varying depending on the dose and the environment and culture conditions. It is not volatile.

Due to its cross-spectrum action on several insects, the early applications of the product help the crop with a promising start, giving it a better chance of having the desired results. Crops treated with Benevia generally show an increase in culture and a better vigor due to the significant reduction of biotic stress on the crop imposed by several defoliating and sucking insects.

The larvae that can remain in the attack area even if they no longer feed and are paralyzed can create an apparent reduction in ineffectiveness. Benevia fights larvae in all their stages.

More than one Benevia insecticide treatment may be needed to control a pest population.

is applied only using clean, well-maintained and accurately calibrated ground spraying equipment. Its application is foliar to combat the most harmful defoliating insects.

Onions and garlic:
The insecticide can be applied to onions and garlic throughout the vegetation (BBCH 12 - BBCH 80) in the early stages of pest development. The minimum interval between the two treatments is at least 7 days. A maximum of two treatments can be applied in one season. For effective control, it is recommended to use an oil-based adjuvant (Codacide - 2.5 l / ha).

Carrot, parsley, parsnip, celery, radish:
It can be used on the first leaves that form, before harvest (BBCH 11 - BBCH 89) the minimum interval between treatments is 7 days. Maximum two treatments per season. The ideal time to apply is when the eggs hatch or the first signs of attack have appeared.

Cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower:
Treatments should be made when the presence of eggs is identified, at the latest at the time of hatching, for effective control of caterpillars. The product must be applied before the larvae cause damage, from the first leaves formed until before harvest, respecting the break time (BBCH 12-49). A maximum of two treatments per season is applied, at a minimum interval of 7 days. It is recommended to use an oil-based adjuvant (Codacide - 2.5 l / ha) for effective control.

Benevia should be applied early, as soon as the eggs are laid until the first larvae appear. Do not perform two treatments in less than 7 days with each other. Do not apply more than two treatments in one season. It is recommended to use an oil-based adjuvant (Codacide - 2.5 l / ha) for effective control.

Solution volume: 150-400 l / ha for potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, celery, parsnips, radishes and strawberries.

Bee safety:
Make sure that flowering plants are removed from the crop before the insecticide is applied to avoid potential exposure of the bees. Use Benevia only when bees are not present.
