Product information
Dimilin 25 WP is a larvacide for the control of Lycoridae, Phoridae and sciaridae spp. in mushroom cultivation, the control of flies in poultry manure and the control of mosquito larvae in their breeding sites. Also registered for use on Fall Armyworm in Maize, Sweetcorn and Potatoes.
Dimilin 25 WP is sold as a wettable powder and can be applied on land or air. Dimilin is a powerful insecticide in combating hair melliferous hair, wormwood and plum worms, marrow larvae, mosquito mites and fungus flies.
Mode of action:
The insecticidal activity of the active substance is based on the inhibition of chitin synthesis in the insect's cuticle, blocking the pouring process. Dimilin acts by ingestion on insect species feeding on leaves and other parts of plants. It does not combat adult and sucking insects.
Treated larvae have a normal appearance until the next crop, although their feeding will be significantly reduced after a few days. On plating, the larvae are incapable of losing the old cuticle while the new, malformed cuticle can not withstand the internal pressure during spraying. As a result, it breaks, and fluid in the body exudes. Since young larvae are much more sensitive than the elderly, the treatment should be applied primarily to young people.
Dimilin 25 WP penetrates the egg corium of many insect species, inhibiting the synthesis of emerging larval chitin from eggs, which no longer hatch and die.
Usage:
In the orchards to control the mellifera, the application should be done immediately after flowering, during the laying of the eggplant. The treatment is repeated after 3-4 weeks. It is recommended to use Dimilin 25 WP in mixture with a non-toxic (edible) oil at the 0.3% dose. For 100 l of water, use 30 g Dimilin and 300 ml oil.
In apple and plum orchards for the control of worms and plums, sprays are applied during moth flight, egg deposition at the beginning of flowering trees. Treatment is repeated after 3 weeks for the first generation or 4 weeks for the next generation. The recommended dose is 0.03%, ie for 100 l of water use 30-40 g Dimilin.
For mining larvae, combating is based on Dimilin's ovocidal action, which should be applied to egg deposition. The recommended dose is 0.03%.
Vegetable spraying is carried out prior to the hatching of the Buha vertebrae and the White butterfly of the vertebra in the concentration of 0.05%.
For fungus, Dimilin is applied by immersion immediately after coating in a dose of 4 g in 2.5 l water / m2. For incorporation into compost, Dimilin is applied at a dose of 40 g in solution at 1 m³.
In green spaces and forestry for the control of the parasite of the lump Dimilin must be applied before or during egg hatching, at the earliest age of the young larva after the appearance of the leaves. At the ornamental chestnut for combating the miner the product is applied to the pond deposition. The recommended dose of Dimilin is 100-300 g / ha in 800-1000 l solution.
