Product information
Activus 400 SC, herbicide for controlling annual dicotyledonous weeds in autumn cereals and corn.
Mode of action:
-Activus 400 SC contains the active substance pendimethalin, a derivative of dinitroaniline.
-It is used in pre-emergence and early post-emergence, to control a wide range of annual dicotyledonous weeds.
-Absorption is by roots, coleoptile, and hypocotyl.
-The product does not translocate significantly into the plant.
-Pendimethalin prevents the formation of microtubules (HRAC Group: K1).
-As a result, the processes of cell division and growth are hindered, and weeds sensitive to pendimethalin die.
-The substance remains active in the soil for several weeks so that weeds with late germination are also affected if the meristematic tissue of the coleoptile of the root comes into direct contact with the active substance.
-The selectivity of pendimethalin to cereals is based on the spatial separation between the active substance and the germination area (position selectivity).
-The sensitive tissues of the seedlings must not come into contact with the active substance.
-Especially when applying in pre-emergence, it is important to properly prepare the soil and respect the specific sowing depth for each crop.
Instructions for use:
-Activus 400 SC is a selective herbicide recommended for controlling annual dicotyledonous weeds in autumn cereals and corn.
-Apply a single treatment with Activus 400 SC on the same surface in one season.
-The treatment is applied in early post-emergence to autumn cereals (wheat, barley, triticale, rye), and in pre-emergence or early post-emergence in maize.
-The control effect is all the better as the weeds are in an early stage of development (1 - 3 leaves, respectively BBCH 10 - 13).
-When applying, well-adjusted terrestrial equipment is used, so that the herbicide solution does not reach other surfaces or other crops.
-Normal solution volumes per hectare (200 - 400 L / ha) are used.
The time to harvest is covered by the growing season.
