Mode of action: It acts by inhibiting the biosynthesis of carotenoids. Root and systemic action. Isoxaflutole can also be absorbed by the foliage and roots shoots that appear during application and destroy them. This product is a selective pre-emergence herbicide for sugarcane to control annual weeds or to be used after cutting.
MERLIN 480 SC should be applied to moist soil carefully leveled after sowing and before emergence of the sugar cane crop.
Preparation of the solutionFill the spraying equipment with water by 3/4, shake the bottle and pour the required dose of product. Complete filling of the container and stir. Shake the sprayer moderately during spraying. Use a cone jet spray nozzle to ensure perfectly homogeneous distribution of the chemical (200 to 300 L/ha).
It requires moist soil => Application on clean soil first. Irrigation is essential. Using MERLIN is not recommended on soils containing 70% sand and containing less than 2% organic matter. This product presents an increased risk of lack of selectivity on sandy or permeable soils and poorly coated seed.
Re-use prohibited. Empty packages well and perforate them, burn them at a place far from your residence and animal stables or bury them in a 30cm hole at 50 m away from any water body or throw them in a landfill dump while complying with local regulations.
