Amdro Granular Ant Bait is a professional bait that has a unique mode of action against aphids. The insecticide incorporates an attractant for specific ants species so it must be used accordingly. The active substance is Hydramethylnon - a registered chemical alternative for chlorpyrifos for use as a termiticide that acts slowly but effective.

This product can be used:
- For outdoor use;
- To Combat pests, such as: Singapore ant (Monomorium destructor), Coastal brown ant (Pheidole megacephala), Tropical fire ant or Ginger ant (Solenopsis geminata), Red imported fire ant (Solenopsis invicta) and Greenhead ant (Rhytidoponera spp.);
- For wall void injection, wood injection, exposed soil, treated backfill, trenching, rodding, sub slab injection, foaming;
- Is recommended for infested buildings and other areas with a risk of infestation from subterranean termites.
Short description on how to use the product:
- Amdro granules can be applied manually with a granule spreader or any similar disk type applicator that can provide even distribution;
- For small areas you can sprinkle the treatment by hand;
- Always use gloves when handling Amdro Granules Bait.
By identifying the exact species of ant you can obtain better results:
- Singapore ant: Lives in tropical and subtropical areas. Worker ants can grow up to 1.8 - 3 mm long, they have a light brown colour and a dark brown abdomen. They sting and they bite and have no smell when crushed.
- Coastal brown ant: they live in coastal areas along paved areas or lawns. Worker ants measure between 2 - 2.5 mm and in exceptional cases up to 4.5 mm with bigger heads. They have a shiny dark brown colour, they bite and sting and have no smell when crushed.
- Tropical fire ant or Ginger ant: With a light yellow to dark brown, the workers have dimensions between 2.4 to 6 mm and large heads. Attacks consists of bites and stings. Ants have no smell when crushed.
- Red imported fire ant: From gold to red-brown, these ants are between 3 - 6 mm long. Highly aggressive, their attacks result in stings with painful, itchy and persistent pustules. Can cause severe allergic reactions.
- Greenhead ant: Up to 6 mm long, these ants have iridescent dark green head, with black thorax, abdomen and legs. Attacks consists of painful stings.
