Product information
1. Sultan Top is a herbicideforpre- orofpostemergence designed to fight against monocotyledonous weeds and annual broadleaf weeds in rape crops. This professional product contains two main active constituents such as Metazachlor, responsible with inhibiting lipid biosynthesis and therefore deforming and stopping the growth of young plants, and Quinmerac which induces an enzymatic activity in the biosynthesis of ethylene, action that stimulates the production of ethylene and abscisic acid by plant hormones. This leads to leaves bending, inhibiting the process of root and shoot growth, and it ultimately triggers the wilting of the plant.
The Sultan Top herbicide is absorbed by the roots and is very well assimilated by weeds at the cotyledon stage, until the first true leaf.
2. Kalif Herbicide is a systemic herbicide containing Clomazone as the active substance which is absorbed by the roots and by the shoots. During the first phase, clomazone is absorbed by the roots, then transferred via the xylem into the plant, acting as an inhibitor of carotenoid biosynthesis.
