Product information
Acetogan 900 EC, 1 litre is an emulsifier concentrate that acts on weeds in their germination process, being absorbed through the radicles, coleoptile and hypocotyl. The monocotyledonous weeds are removed from competition with the crop plants immediately after germination.
Features:
- Active ingredient: Acetochlor - 900 g/l;
- Colour: clear violet;
- Odour: aromatic;
- Effective;
- Long term effects.
This product can be used:
- Immediately after sowing;
- For maximum effectiveness, good germination bed preparation, well grounded soil is recommended;
- In very dry years we recommend application before sowing and easy incorporation with the mixer at 3-4 cm;
- On weeds such as Eucalyptus plantations, groundnuts, maize, potatoes and sugar cane.
How to use:
- Shake well before using;
- Mix ACETOGAN 900EC separately in a small amount of water and add into the spray tank while agitating;
- Ensure agitation thorough mixing and application;
- For Ground Application: ACETOGAN 900 EC can be applied by any suitable medium to high volume spray apparatus;
- Apply as soon as possible, best before the weeds germinate;
- Ensure continuous irrigation of at least 15 mm after application to leach the active into the soil;
- For Aerial Application: done only by a registered Aerial Application;
- Distribute the spray mixture evenly;
- Droplet coverage: 20-30 droplets per cm2 must be recovered pre-emergence and 30−45 droplet per cm2 must be recovered post-emergent at the target area;
- Droplet size: A droplet spectrum with a VMD of 350-450 microns is recommended. Limit the production of fine droplets less than 150 microns (high drift and evaporation potential) to a minimum;
- Flying height: Maintain the height of the spray boom at 3-4 metres above the target. Do not spray when aircraft dives, is in a climb or when banking;
- Use suitable atomising equipment that will produce the desired droplet size and coverage, but which will ensure the minimum loss of product. The spraying system must produce a droplet spectrum with the lowest possible relative span;
- Position all the atomisers within the inner 60-75 % of the wingspan to prevent droplets from entering the wingtip vortices;
- The difference in temperature between the wet and dry bulb thermometers, of a whirling hygrometer, should not exceed 8 °C;
- Stop spraying if the wind speed exceeds 15 km/h;
- Stop spraying under turbulent, unstable and dry conditions during the heat of the day;
- Spraying under temperature inversion conditions (spraying in or above the inversion layer) and/or high humidity conditions (relative humidity 80 % and above) may lead to the following:
- Reduced efficacy due to suspension and evaporation of small droplets in the air (inadequate coverage);
- Damage to other sensitive crops and/or non-target areas through drifting of the suspended spray cloud away from the target field;
- Ensure that the Aerial Spray Operator knows exactly which fields to spray V1.0 13/12/2014 p 5/15;
- Obtain an assurance from the Aerial Spray Operator that above requirements;
- Protect wildlife, fish, crustaceans and the environment while using the product.
Product classification: Xi (irritant), N (dangerous for the environment).
