Product information
Dicopur Top 464 SL is a professional herbicide composed of 2 active substances, 2.4 D and dicamba. As a selective and systemic herbicide, it act on weeds both by leaf and radicular absorption.
Benefits:
- Selective for wheat and corn crops.
- Dicopur Top is approved for post-emergence application in wheat and corn crops to combat numerous annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds.
Action mode:
- Phenoxy herbicides are selective herbicides that induce similar physiological responses to endogenous plant hormones, such as the auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, abscisic acid, and ethylene. They act as competitors or antagonists of these natural plant growth regulators.
- When applied to weeds, they adhere to the surface of the leaf and enter the plant.
- Part of the active substance is transported to the developmental peaks, and the rest to the root.
- Due to the excess of auxins that appear inside the weeds, its metabolism becomes extremely high, the cells grow, and the growth becomes uncontrolled.
- Finally, as a result of the high consumption of metabolic resources, the weeds dry out and die. A maximum degree of efficiency is attained in wet and warm weather because at the right time of growth and development the weeds are very sensitive to chemical treatment.
Methods of application:
- Apply from the breeding phase of cereals to the formation of the first internode, and when the weed species are in the small phase of about 2-4 leaves and a maximum of 10-15 cm high for perennial weeds.
- It is not recommended to apply the herbicide when the cereal grains are in an advanced stage (over 2-3 internodes) because phytotoxic effects occur with the reduction of production per hectare.
- Apply Dicopur Top corn when the crop plants have 4-6 leaves, and the weeds are in the rosette phase.
- The recommended solution quantity to apply on the surface of one hectare is 200-400 l.
Compatibility:
- Dicopur Top is compatible with some products used in agriculture, except those with basic reactions. Before using, check the compatibility lists and perform a test.
Recommendations:
A maximum degree of efficiency is reached in wet and warm weather for a long time, because in good weather for growth and development weeds are very sensitive to chemical treatment.
