To Nature - Bird Optic Gel

To Nature Bird Free® does not kill or trap birds or harm them in any way. The Health & Safety Executive has identified the active ingredients of Bird Free as foods consumed by humans.

Bird Free is formulated so that birds won’t go near it: birds see ultraviolet light so it appears to them as fire. The visual effect, whereby birds see Bird Free as fire, is immediately evident following installation. Birds attempting to return to a habitat they have previously frequented will be observed veering off and landing elsewhere when they see the dishes of Bird Free in place.

Clients should be aware, however, that some sites, particularly nesting sites, and long-standing night roosts, are so attractive to birds that a few dominant birds may still attempt to return for a day or two after Bird Free has been installed. After a few days even the most dominant of birds will give up and the site will then be literally bird-free.

Bird Free in ready-to-use dishes is a patented preparation containing natural active ingredients that keep all birds off all structures without harming them. (Bird Free is not regulated under the EU Biocidal Products Directive because its active ingredients are recognized by the UK Health & Safety Executive as food-grade material.) It does not kill or trap birds but immediately changes their behavior so that they fly away. Birds will completely desert a habitat they have been using for years once Bird Free is applied in accordance with the guidelines in this manual.

Visual deterrence is further reinforced by the selected food ingredients contained in Bird Free, which are abhorrent to birds’ sense of smell.
• Bird Free’s deterrent effect on birds is long-lasting. Left undisturbed, it will remain completely effective for at least two years after proper installation, even in the most exposed environment. Most installations will remain effective for considerably longer.
• Specially formulated to withstand all climatic conditions, Bird Free is not affected by extremes of temperature, nor by wind, rain, or snow.
• Bird Free can be used indoors or outdoors. It has been installed at thousands of commercial sites worldwide including, airports, government offices, sports stadiums, railway stations, hospitals, factories, pylons, bridges, historic buildings, and many other locations where birds are a nuisance or a health hazard. It causes no damage to buildings or structures. 
• The installation of Bird Free is quick and easy. However, it is imperative that the site is thoroughly cleaned beforehand.
