Product information
Lumax 537.5 SE, 5 litres is a complete herbicide for pre emergent applications in corn crops. It utilizes three active substances to grant effective control against annual dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous weeds and, when used in early postemergence, offers limited control over perennial dicotyledonous weeds.
Benefits:
- Contains three active substances with complementary action;
- Broad-spectrum control;
- Can be used on any soil type;
- Selective action for increased crop protection;
- Lasting remnant effect in the soil.
Action mode:
Lumax 537.5 SE employs three active substances to control invading weeds in corn crops:
- S-metolachlor is taken up during the germination and emergence of weeds through the coleoptile and translocated throughout the plant. Weeds are destroyed before, during, or immediately after emergence. It provides a long-lasting effect (4-6 weeks).
2) Terbutylazine belongs to the group of triazines and is taken up by weeds through roots and leaves, and then translocated into the xylem, and accumulates in the growing tips of weeds. The affected tissues turn yellow, then necrotic.
3) Mesotrione is a systemically active substance that is absorbed by the root, stem and leaves and translocates rapidly through the xylem and phloem throughout the plant. It works by inhibiting the HPPD enzyme, directly inhibiting carotenoid biosynthesis in targeted weeds. Consequently, chlorophyll is destroyed and leads to the bleaching of sensitive weeds.
Methods of application:
Use the Atplus adjuvant at a dose of 0.5 l per ha to increase the effectiveness against weeds that sprout during the time of application.
Lumax is applied in crop soils that are invaded by weeds.
The application of Lumax 537.5 SE in early post-emergence requires the preparation of the germination bed, crushed and well managed. This stimulates the uniform emergence of weeds, as well as improving the formation of the herbicidal film.
The volume of working solution: 200 to 300 l per ha.
Preharvest period: 45 days.
Dose:
Corn - 3 to 3.5 l per ha.
Compatibility:
Compatible with most of the crop products available on the market.
Before mixing with other crop protection products, perform a small-scale compatibility test.
For early post-emergent applications, do not mix with organo-phosphorous insecticides or carbamates.
Recommendations:
Only use on popcorn or hybrids after proper testing has been performed.
Avoid using higher doses than those recommended.
It is not recommended to apply the product when the corn crop is poorly developed or going through a period of stress.
The effectiveness of the herbicide can be adversely affected when temperatures are too low or too high.
Do not spray onto waterways.
Avoid spray drift onto other nearby crops.
