Product information
Nemasol 510 is an agrochemical product used to disinfect soil in greenhouses and solariums. It has a multiple control action for: nematodes, overgrown weeds, pests and soil pathogens. The product is based on an active substance named sodium methane (510g / L) and it is water-soluble.
Benefits:
Provides long-term protection against nematodes, pathogens and weeds;
It offers farmers the opportunity to have successive productive crops on the same land for at least two crop cycles;
Lower total cost for soil protection;
The product completely decomposes in the soil, leaving no residues that could be absorbed by crops;
Action mode:
- Used before the establishment of crop cycles, Nemasol removes the competition created by wild weeds, diseases and nematodes that appear during the germination and the first phases of vegetation.
- It controls unwanted weeds by destroying the seeds in the soil at the time of application.
- In contact with moist soil, Nemasol 510 turns into gas, and this gas has the role of disinfecting the soil and the culture substrate. It only acts on the area where it was applied. Nemasol 510 is applied before planting the seedlings.
Methods of application:
After being treated, the soil is covered with plastic wrap to allow the gas to act and interact effectively with pests.
After 2 weeks the foliage is removed and the soil requires a phytotoxicity test. This test involves using an indicator plant (usually a salad) and only after that the planting process can continue.
Compatibility:
Nemasol 510 is the main alternative to methyl bromide. It has no known indications or contraindications of compatibility.
Recommendation:
- It is recommended to use Nemasol 510 using a drip irrigation system that allows a uniform distribution of the product both deeply and horizontally;
- Nemasol 510 is used only with a right dilution and it is applied between crop cycles, after the land has been cleared of plant debris.
- Dilution percentage should be 1-5%
- Irrigation time and water intake should be carefully calculated and the product should be applied in the approved dose;
- The temperature of the space where it is applied must be at least 10 degrees (Celsius).
