Product information

Lobesia Botrana Pheromone Lures are used to attract and control the population of European grapevine moths, which is considered a major threat to grapes and other crops. The lures can also be used to monitor the population of the moths as well as to detect their presence in an area. The pheromone lures are an effective and economical way to manage the European grapevine moth and help protect grapes and other crops from damage.

Benefits:
- Helps detect early signs of Lobesia botrana;
- Enhanced catch rates;
- Selective lure with long lasting effects.

Action mode:
- The lures are typically placed in the vineyards to draw the male moths away from the female moth, resulting in reduced mating and fewer eggs being laid.
- The Delta trap is the most sensitive option for monitoring this insect. However, a Moth catcher may be used in areas with heavy dust or where the population density of moths is high.

Methods of application:
For large-scale fields with homogenous land, one trap should be used per two hectares.
For small holdings or fields with uneven topography, two traps per hectare should be used.
The traps should be placed at the highest point of the plant and supported by posts approximately 1 meter high, or higher if the crop is taller.

Compatibility:
Compatible with Russel IPM traps.

Recommendations:
- Do not reuse the trap for different insects, as that may lead to mixed catches.
- Change lures every 4-6 weeks for best results.
- Take into account climatic and biological factors when considering methods of action against invading insects.
- Starting from the beginning of the winter season, data should be collected every week.
- Once the population reaches its peak, readings may need to be taken more frequently.
- Store lures in a freezer at around -20˚C(sealed pack). This ensures a long period of storage of up to several years.
- Storing lures at 4˚C will allow them to remain active for a maximum of 1 year.
- Wear gloves when handling the pheromones, to avoid cross-contamination.

Please be sure to read, understand, and follow the full Conditions, Disclaimer, and Directions for Use. Use the appropriate personal safety equipment if required and when needed.
