This attractant is specifically designed for monitoring Oriental fruit fly (Bractocera dorsalis). Early pest detection and accurate population monitoring are important factors in integrated pest management programmes. Thus, Russell IMP pheromone attractants are specifically designed to be used in conjunction with traps and are essential in integrated pest management programmes.
For monitoring Oriental fruit fly (Bractocera dorsalis), it is recommended to use this attractant together with the FlyCatcher Trap. Do not reuse the trap to monitor other insect species.
Pheromone attractant is a product susceptible to adverse environmental conditions. Thus, it can be affected by high temperatures and direct sunlight. Also, direct contact (without gloves) can cause contamination of the attractant and decrease its attractiveness to the target species.
For best results, it is recommended to replace the attractant after 4-6 weeks.
