Sweet Aniseed is a sweet and aromatic herb from the Mediterranean region. Its fragrance is a mix of licorice and fennel, with a slight hint of lemon. Cultivation:
Choose a location with full sun and well-drained soil.
Prepare the soil by digging a hole about 20 cm deep and 45 cm wide.
Sow the aniseed seeds in the prepared soil, about 2 cm deep and 10 cm apart.
Water the seeds, keeping the soil moist but not soggy.
Thin the seedlings to about 15 cm apart once they are about 10 cm high.
Harvest the aniseed when the seed pods turn brown and begin to split, usually in late summer.
Recommendation:
Fertilise the plants with a balanced fertiliser once a month.
