Product information

St John's-Wort is a flower with a long history of use in herbal medicine. It is a member of the Hypericum family of plants, and has a characteristic bright yellow colour, with five small petals, and many tiny stamens in the centre. It also has antiviral and antibacterial properties, and can be used to treat skin wounds and bruises. St John's-Wort is an effective and natural alternative for many medical conditions and is widely used in many parts of the world.

Cultivation:
Choose an area that is well-draining and in full sun.
Prepare soil by tilling to a depth of 20 cm.
Add a 2 cm layer of aged compost or manure.
Spread St John's wort seeds on the soil surface and lightly cover with 1 cm of soil.
Water the seeds with a fine spray.
Keep the soil moist but not soggy until the seeds have germinated.

Recommendation:
Thinning is not necessary as St John's-wort is a self-seeding plant.
Mulch the area around the plants to help retain moisture
