Product information

Green Onion Blanc de Lisbonne Bio, 2 g is a bio variety that originates from the city of Lisbon, Portugal. It is an heirloom variety that is grown for its versatility and flavour. The bulbs are small and white in colour, with a mild, sweet flavour. The flesh is slightly creamy and firm, making it perfect for both raw and cooked preparations.

Benefits and General Info:
- High nutritional value, low calorie count;
- Mild, sweet flavour;
- Easy to grow, and can be harvested in the late summer months;
- Organically grown without the use of synthetic fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides;
- Resistant to diseases;
- High yield crop;
- Ideal for use in salads, soups, stews, and even as a topping for sandwiches or burgers.

Cultivation:
Loosen the soil and add a layer of compost.
Onion seeds should be planted 10 cm apart in rows 30 cm apart.
Water the onions every 2 to 3 days, keeping the soil moist but not too soggy.

Recommendation:
Add a layer of mulch, such as straw or grass clippings around the onions to retain moisture and prevent weeds.
Fertilise the onions once a month with a balanced fertiliser.
Harvest the onions when the tops start to yellow or when the bulbs are the desired size.
