Product information

Chicory Spadona, 10 g is a type of chicory that is grown for its leaves, roots, and flowers. It is a low-growing, herbaceous perennial that is native to Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. The leaves are typically used as a salad green or added to cooked dishes, while the root is used as a coffee substitute or for medicinal purposes. The plant is also known for its attractive blue-green leaves and delicate white flowers that bloom in the late summer months.

Benefits and General Info:
- 10g seed satchel;
- Great flavour and rich in minerals;
- Rich in vitamin B, C, K;
- Cold resistant.

Cultivation:
Plant seeds in holes spaced 10 cm apart. Once the plants have grown for one month, thin them out so that only one plant is left in each hole.
The leaves can be harvested 2 to 3 months after planting and can be used raw in salads or cooked like spinach.
Chicory spadona is a hardy crop and can tolerate drought and some frost, making it a suitable crop for many climates.

The perfect substrate is made of a mix of Coconut Coir, Peat Moss, and other organic materials.

Recommendation:
Make sure to water the plants during the summer months.
Chicory Spadona requires full sun and well-drained soil with a pH level of 6.5 to 7.5.
The roots can be harvested 6 to 8 months after planting.

Please be sure to read, understand and follow the full Conditions, Disclaimer, and Directions for Use. Use the appropriate personal safety equipment when needed.
