Product information
Kalif Reptile Repellent replaces traditional repellents. It is the ideal solution when you do not want to use poisonous substances or adhesive and mechanical traps. The function of the repellent is to strictly keep reptiles away, without being harmful to them, the environment, or other animals. The repellent contains a combination of odorous substances that cause the snakes or reptiles to no longer transit or stop in that area.
Kalif Reptile repellent is a granular product that is easily applied, simply by dispersing it around homes, cabins, caravans, tents, swimming pools, etc. to keep reptiles away from these areas. It can be applied around gardens but not inside them. It must not be used on land cultivated with crops intended for human or animal consumption.
How to use:
- To protect an area within which reptiles may exist, you need to apply a small amount of reptile repellent to the entire surface, and allow them 48 hours to move away from the treated area. Using this method, a 600 g repellent container protects approximately 60-70 square meters of surface. That means 8-10 g per square meter.
- After 48 hours, apply the repellent again, alongside the perimeter, on a wide band of about 15 - 20 cm. When creating the access barrier, the product is sufficient for a strip with a length of over 300 - 400 linear meters. If there are still reptiles in the area and the treatment is no longer preventive, then an area of 2 meters in length must be left empty, so that the reptiles are able to leave the treated surface.
- After a week, that area also gets closed up with repellent, completely blocking any reptile access. If the treatment is done around a lake then the protective tape should be placed 1-2 meters from the lake, around it. If the lake is very large, a "protective barrier" is made in the direction where the habitat is located, with a length as long as possible.
Advantages of using reptile repellent:
-The use of these products is recommended outdoors and offers protection for a larger area than in the case of adhesive traps. The treatment is done marginally, around the area that needs to be protected.
-The substance can be applied near water, but not in water. To prevent reptiles from reaching and colonizing lakes, fountains, swimming pools, etc. apply it on a portion of about 15 - 20 cm around the water holes.
-The use of the repellent is indicated, having a vapor emission regulator that allows it to remain active for 2 months in normal atmospheric conditions. Heavy rain does not affect the product. However, after prolonged and heavy rain, the treatment needs to be repeated. When the characteristic odor of the product diminishes, its effectiveness is reduced.
-It can be applied in areas infested with reptiles, or where you want to prevent their presence: gardens, fields, plant beds, wooden stacks, etc. in a dose of 10 g per 1 sqm. In the case of car infestations, for an effective treatment, it is recommended to double the dose.
-Repeat the treatment every 8-10 days, or after a possible rain or field irrigation on the protected areas.
