Serrico Cigarette

Cigarette Beetle Serrico is a zippered trap for monitoring tobacco beetles. The trap has a shape and an adhesive made especially for this type of beetle. This trap is useful for the early prevention of a beetle infestation. It contains two types of attractant, one sexual and one food. Both zippers (serricornin) and the food attractant are synthesized by Fuji Flavor Company. These types of attractants act on all types of tobacco bugs and do not contain toxic insecticides or other materials that can damage tobacco.
Tobacco beetles have sizes between 2 and 3.5 mm and have a dark brown color. Their larvae infest various types of dry foods such as flour, cereals, and tobacco leaves, making them the most harmful insects in the tobacco industry. Females lay about 100 eggs in 3-10 days and they develop into adults in 40-50 days at a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.

Method of use:
-Stick the adhesive traps on the wall or in other favorite locations, recommended 1.5 meters above the floor, with a distance between them of 5-10 meters.
-It is not recommended to place traps close to the production line or entrances in order not to attract adult beetles from the outside.
-This trap has a lifespan of one year and after being installed is active for a month.
