Product information
Ghilotina i14 Cytrol is a broad-spectrum insecticide for controlling flying and crawling insects. It is formulated as a concentrated emulsion based on solvents and can be mixed with water.
The active ingredient, cypermethrin, is a synthetic pyrethroid that provides rapid results and a knockdown effect on contact with targeted insects. Being stable to light, it offers residual control with effective results. Along with the synergistic metabolite piperonyl butoxide (PBO), it enhances the knockdown action and limits the metabolic resistance of insects to the insecticide treatment.
Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid used as an insecticide with broad application in agriculture and pest control in both public and private spaces. It acts rapidly as a neurotoxin that paralyzes the insect nervous system. It is highly toxic to bees, fish, and aquatic organisms and is found in various insecticides for controlling crawling insects, including bedbugs and cockroaches.
Piperonyl butoxide (PBO) is an organic compound used in the formulation of insecticides. It is a synergist, originally a waxy, solid, white substance. It does not have insecticidal action when used alone but enhances the insecticidal action of carbamates, pyrethrins, and pyrethroids. It is commonly used as an ingredient in insecticides for domestic, food sector, human, and veterinary use, in controlling ectoparasites (ticks, lice, and fleas). It is found in water-based insecticide emulsions, insecticide sprays used on small surfaces, and concentrated insecticides with strong impact.
