Product information
Fontelis is a systemic fungicide designed for combating apple foliar diseases such as turnip and powdery mildew.
Benefits:
- very efficient in controlling diseases caused by Ascomycete and Basidiomycete fungi.
- it has a preventive, curative and protective action
- it controls new infections (less than 48 hours)
- it blocks disease transmission
- translaminar penetration and acropetal mobility
- rain and water resistance
Action mode:
Active substance: penthiopyrad 200 g/l
- Penthiopyrad is a new active substance from the carboxamide group that inhibits the respiratory process of fungi by biochemically blocking the function of mitochondria at the level of complex ii. It does not induce cross-resistance to fungicides based on triazoles, morpholines or strobilurins.
- Preharvest Interval (PHI): 21 days
Methods of application:
- Apply preventively or at the first signs of the disease, before the infection spreads;
- Fontelis can be applied in any phase of the crop's vegetation, usually from budding (ear stage - BBCH 10) to fruit formation (BBCH 79);
Compatibility:
Compatibility: Fontelis is compatible with most pesticides and foliar fertilisers.
Recommendations:
- It is recommended that the volume of solution in the first phases of vegetation be a maximum of 500 l/ha, and in plantations with a large vegetable mass, a maximum of 1500 l/ha, to ensure an efficient and uniform coverage;
- In the case of a large infection, the treatment can be repeated after 7 days;
- It is not recommended to apply more than 2 consecutive treatments with Fontelis or with products from the SHDi group;
- It is recommended to mix with other authorised fungicides for the control of diseases encountered in apple plantations, in situations of high infection or if the application is delayed due to unfavourable climatic conditions.
- The mixture with other authorised fungicides from other chemical groups reduces the potential for the appearance of resistance and increases the potential to fight in difficult situations.
- In the case of using the product for the first two or three treatments applied in the plantation to control the two diseases: turnip and powdery mildew, it is not necessary to mix with other fungicides.
Please be sure to read, understand, and follow the full Conditions, Disclaimer, and Directions for Use. Use the appropriate personal safety equipment if required and when needed.
