BG-Sentinel 2

BG-Sentinel is a professional mosquito trap, originally developed to allow researchers around the world to monitor vectors of dengue, chikungunya, Zika and yellow fever. It is now considered the gold standard for monitoring mosquitoes, especially those potentially carrying these diseases. The trap is now used by scientists, health professionals, pest control operators and private households around the world. With the addition of carbon dioxide (CO2), the BG-Sentinel is an excellent surveillance tool for mosquitoes in general.

The air is sucked into the trap through a black capture pipe by an electric fan, attracting and catching the approaching mosquitoes in a bag. The air then comes out of the trap through the white gauze and generates upward currents. They are similar to the currents produced by a human host, both in their direction, their geometric structure and due to the addition of the BG-Lure attractant in their chemical composition.

Useful information:
- Place the trap in places where you noticed high mosquito activity;
- The approaching mosquitoes are attracted to the trap and are captured by a fan;
- The transparent material allows you to monitor the catch and see when it's time to empty the trap.
