The certificate of approval shall be withdrawn on 19.09.2018 in accordance with the provisions of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 783/2018 concerning the conditions of approval of the active substance imidacloprid. The grace period granted expires on 19.12.2018.
Characteristics:
Confidor Oil is a systemic insecticide for combating pests on apples and plums. Due to the two components, Confidor Oil has long-lasting systemic action (imidacloprid) and complementary physical action of asphyxiation (oil).
Mode of action and use:
Imidacloprid enters the plant in about 1 hour after treatment, acting both by penetrating the protective shield of the San Jose paduche larvae. The effect on harmful insects consists in irreversible disturbance of the vital functions of their nervous centers, eventually leading to their death. Also, the hibernating eggs of the red spider are intoxicated and asphyxiated so that no larva hatching occurs. The formulated formulation guarantees a long duration of action, an optimal penetration of the systemic component into the plant, increased adherence to the plant surface and superior contact with the target pests.
Apple - Used to combat the hibernate larvae of the San Jose paddle (Quadraspidiotus perniciosus) and the hibernating eggs of the red aphid and spider spider (Panonicus ulmi) at a concentration of 1.5% and 22.5 l / ha in 1500 l the water.
Plum - Used to combat hibernating eggs in concentrations of 1.5% and 15 l / ha in 1000 l of water. There is a seasoned treatment at the end of the mosquitoes, until the floral bud has been developed yet unopened. This corresponds to the first (winter) spring treatment. The break before harvesting is of at least 90 days.
The product will not mix with bordeleza, polysulphide and sulfur-based, diclofluanid, captan or TMTD products. For any other combinations, a physico-chemical compatibility test will be done in advance.
Treated plants: Mar, Plum
Combat insects: San Jose scale, Aphid, European red mite
