Product information
Systemic herbicide for controlling annual and dicotyledonous weeds from corn.
Treated plants: Corn
Combat weeds: Annual mercury, Barnyard grass, Black nightshade, Common hemp-nettle, Common purslane, Jimsonweed, Johnson grass, Knotgrass, Large crabgrass, Scarlet pimpernel, Shepherd's purse, Velvet leaf, Wild mustard, Wild pea, Wild radish.
Merlin Duo acts radically and has a strong systemic activity in the plant. Weeds are destroyed even after sunrise. The first symptom of efficacy is the whitening of the embryo, followed shortly by the rapid and complete destruction of the weeds. Isoxaflutole is mobile in the surface layer of soil where it is fixed to colloids. It is not a volatile herbicide or a film-like action. Terbutilazin performs complementary activity against weeds such as Polygonum species, as well as strengthening the herbicide action on herbs. Terbutilazin is part of the triazine class, with a broad spectrum of combat.
An exceptional feature is its reactivation water bility, which complements the mobility of the product and allows it to be active again during the first rains that follow after a period without precipitation, thus controlling the weeds that can grow during this period.
How to use it:
Merlin Duo is approved for the control of annual dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous weeds of corn crops in preemergence treatments (2.25-2.5 l / ha) or post-emergence (1.8-2 l / ha). In post-emergence, treatment is carried out until the 3-4 leaf stage in corn and weeds at the early growth stage (3 leaves). In both situations, low doses are used on soils with low humus content and poor infestation, and high ones are used on soils with 2.5-3.5% humus content and heavy weed infestation.
