Product information

Storm Rat & Mouse Pellets Contains 0.05 g/kg (0.005% w/w) flocoumafen

A ready-to-use pellet bait containing flocoumafen (0.005% w/w) for use as a rodenticide by professionals for the control of rats and mice indoors and outdoors (around buildings only) for the protection of public health, stored products and materials. For professional use only.

Directions for Use: Thoroughly survey the infested area, particulary secluded and sheltered places in order to determine the extent of the infestation. Place Storm Secure baits throughout the infested area in tamper-proof bait boxes or at covered bait points. Use bait boxes clearly marked “Poison” or “Rodenticide” or “Rodent Bait” at all surface baiting points. The prevention of access by non-target animals is a priority. Baits must be securely deposited in a way so as to minimise the risk of consumption by other animals or children. Where possible, secure baits so that they cannot be dragged away. The product must never be placed indiscriminately.

Baiting for Rats and Mice: Species Situation Application rate for each bait point Recommended frequency of revisiting Mice In and around domestic, commercial, *agricultural buildings 1 block (20g) every 1-2 meters. Frequently over first 10-days and regularly as consumption continues. Rats In and around domestic, commercial, #agricultural buildings 2-3 blocks (40-60g) every 5-10 meters. Frequently over first 10-days and regularly as consumption continues. In sewers 5-10 blocks (100- 200g) per bait point Frequently over first 10-days. #This bait is not for the protection of agricultural crops.

Mice: Mice are very inquisitive and it may help the control programme to move baits every 2-3 days at the time when bait points are inspected or replenished. Make frequent inspections of the bait points during the first 10-14 days and replace any bait eaten by rodents or that has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt. If all the bait has been eaten from certain areas, increase the quantity of bait by placing more bait points. Do not increase the bait point size. Replace any bait eaten by rodents or that has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt.

Rats: Do not move or disturb bait points for several days after laying bait. If no signs of rat activity are seen near the bait after 7-10 days, move the bait to an area of higher rat activity. If all the bait has been eaten from certain areas, increase the quantity of bait by placing more bait points. Do not increase the bait point size. Replace any bait eaten by rodents or that has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt.

Mice and Rats: For best results use Pulse Baiting technique: inspect bait points after 3 days and replace any blocks which have been consumed. Repeat four days later, and then every 7 days and move any untouched blocks to active areas. Replace any bait eaten by rodents or that has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt. Most infestations will be eliminated in 21 - 28 days.

Resistance Information: The resistance status of the rodent population should be taken into account when considering the choice of rodenticide to be used. Where resistance has been shown or is suspected, resistance management strategies should be employed.

Precautionary Statements: Keep out of reach of children. Read label before use. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Avoid release to the environment. Wear protective gloves IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTRE or doctor/physician. Store locked up in a closed container. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with national regulations.

Instructions for safe handling and use: The use of gloves is advised. Do not decant product into unlabelled containers.

PUBLIC AREA USE: When the product is being used in public areas and tamper-resistant bait stations are not used, the following must be implemented. When the product is being used in public areas, the areas treated must be marked during the treatment period and a notice explaining the risk of primary or secondary poisoning by the anticoagulant as well as indicating the first measures to be taken in case of poisoning must be made available alongside the baits. When tamper-resistant bait stations are used, they should be clearly marked to show that they contain rodenticides and that they should not be disturbed. Dead rodent bodies (the first may be found after approximately 3 days), remains of unused bait or any fragments of bait found away from the bait station must be collected during all control operations to minimize the risk of consumption and poisoning to children, companion animals and other non-target animals.

Wash hands after use of the product, and before eating, drinking or smoking. Remove all remains of bait, dead rodents during and after treatment and dispose of safely.

Prevent access to bait by children, domesticated animals and pets, (particularly cats, dogs and pigs). Harmful to wildlife.

Generally anticoagulant rodenticides should not be used as permanent baits. In most cases, anticoagulant bait should have achieved control within 35 days. Should activity continue beyond this time, the likely cause should be determined. Where necessary a supervised permanent baiting strategy may be required under the control of professional pest control operators. For use as a rodenticide only. To avoid risks to human health and the environment, comply with the instructions for use.

Storage and disposal: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place Keep only in original container. This material and its container must be disposed of safely.
