Product information
Alverde is a new, modern, highly effective insecticide against larval and adult of the Colorado beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata).
Active substance: 240 g / liter metaflumizone
Characteristics: Alverde is a new, modern, highly effective insecticide against Colorado beetle larvae and adult (Leptinotarsa decemlineata). It also combats other harmful insects from Coleoptera (cockroaches), Lepidoptera (butterflies, caterpillars), etc.
Mode of action: Alverde acts on the nervous system of the insects in a unique way: locks in the closed position the sodium channel in the nervous system:
- pyrethroid insecticides that open this channel.
- without cross-resistance with known insecticide group
- inhibiting nerve impulses initially causing a "relaxing" paralysis of insects, followed by a period of several hours to several days of their death. "Relaxation" is the end of feeding and lack of movement / limited movement of insects = stops fast feeding before causing the death of insect pests. This avoids the harvest losses that could be caused by these pests.
- acts as a feeding agent (by ingestion) also having a certain initial contact activity.
- moderate translaminar activity. Approximately half of the product is retained in the epicutilar / cuticular layer of the leaves.
Usage: To combat the Colorado beetle, the application time is at the beginning of the infestation, after the larvae have hatched, to avoid damage, although Alverde combats all the mobile stages of the pest, including adults. Under normal infestation conditions, the product is able to completely control the population (generation) of pests installed through a single treatment. Under certain severe and continuous pressure conditions, a second application may be required to maintain complete control. For the control of the caterpillar the treatment will be applied to the hatching of the first larvae.
Treated plants: Potato, Eggplant, Tomato, Pepper.
Dosage depends on the treated plant (see label).
