Product information
Rival Star 75 GD, 20 g is a selective herbicide with systemic action for use in straw cereal crops. It combats a large range of annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds, including weeds resistant to 2,4-D treatments, and is designed for post-emergent crop treatments.
Benefits:
- Selective herbicide with systemic action;
- Ideal for treatment of wheat and oat crops;
- Active against problem weeds and resistant weeds, wide control spectrum;
- Compatible with crop protection products as well as with foliar fertilizers.
Action mode:
Rival 75 Star GD is a granule herbicide that acts on invading annual and perennial weeds in cereal crops:
- Acts as a systemic herbicide, selective for straw cereal crops;
- After application, the active substance is absorbed through the leaves and roots, and eliminates dicotyledonous weeds in 7-21 days, the efficiency of the herbicidal action being influenced by the existing pedoclimatic conditions (atmospheric and soil humidity, environmental temperature), plant sensitivity, and stage of development;
- The maximum herbicidal effect is achieved when weeds are in the emergence phase and active seedling growth.
Methods of application:
Rival Star 75 GD is applied using terrestrial spraying equipment, with mixing systems, using normal volumes of water (250 - 400 l water per ha).
Coverage of weeds is vital.
Treatments are done at temperatures above 5°C, with no immediate rain within 2 hours.
In conditions of drought or higher temperatures, use 500 l of water per ha, when temperatures are lowest.
- Do not spray onto waterways.
- Do not spray on feed.
- Do not spray onto adjacent crops, avoid spray drift.
Crop | Combat weeds | Time of application | Dose |
Wheat, Oat | Annual and perennial dicots | Post-emergent | 15-20 g/ha |
Barley | Annual and perennial dicots | Post-emergent | 10-15 g/ha |
Compatibility:
Compatible with most of the crop products available on the market.
Before mixing with other crop protection products, perform a small-scale compatibility test.
For the control of monocotyledonous weeds, Rival can be applied with post-emergent weed herbicides, dedicated to cereal crops.
Can be mixed with foliar fertilizers for cereal crops, such as Microfert-U.
Recommendations:
- The optimal period of herbicide is at the beginning phase of twinning, at the formation of the first internode when the dicotyledonous weeds have sprouted in mass and are in the phase of 2-4 leaves.
- Treatments are to be made in normal conditions of soil and atmospheric humidity.
Herbicidal treatments are not recommended if cereal crops are in a critical state of soil drought.
- Treatments will be performed either after the first rain or after the irrigation of the crop.
- If weeds are sprouted in mass, the herbicide treatment can be performed a week before the twinning.
- If for various reasons the optimal period mentioned above is passed, the herbicide treatment can be performed until a later phase, but with the risk of a decreased effectiveness, due to the more advanced stage of weed growth and development.
Please be sure to read, understand, and follow the full Conditions, Disclaimer, and Directions for Use. Use the appropriate personal safety equipment if required and when needed.
