Product information
Sultan 50 SC is a systemic herbicide in the form of a concentrated suspension. It fights a wide range of weeds that grow and multiply from seed, annual or perennial, and is used in pre-emergent or early emergent treatments for crops of autumn rapeseeds, cabbage, cauliflower, mustard, strawberry on fruit.
Benefits:
- it fights a wide range of weeds
- it is easily absorbed into weeds and acts quickly on the roots
- it has a fairly long remanence and protects crops from new waves of weeds
Action Mode:
Sultan 50 SC is based on the active substance metazachlor and is activated by rain irrigation.
This substance is easily absorbed and distributed throughout the plant to the roots.
In the short term, it blocks cell division by inhibiting the synthesis of proteins, fatty acids and lignin.
It has a biological selectivity towards crop plants and as such can be applied in both pre-emergent and early post-emergent treatments.
The product has a fairly long shelf life, so that through its residual effect it protects crops from new waves of weeds until the end of the rows.
It fights very well most species of annual and perennial weed seed, both dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous.
Methods of application:
- Apply by spraying it to the ground, usually with the help of a mechanized machine.
The application is made after an appropriate dosage for each culture. Then, the crop is sprayed with a large amount of water, around 200-400 l / ha.
Rapeseed crops in autumn:
- the herbicide is applied in pre-emergent treatments, with a recommended dosage of 1.2-1.6 l / ha, and in post-emergent treatments, 1.6-2.0 l / ha.
Mustard, cabbage and cauliflower crops in autumn:
- the treatment will be applied both pre-emergence and post-emergence with a recommended dosage of 1.5 l / ha.
Compatibility:
Sultan 50 SC is compatible with Kalif 480 EC. In combination, it can be used in autumn rapeseed crops. For any other combinations, see the compatibility tables.
Recommendation:
- For the autumn rapeseeds crops, apply the recommended dosage of 1.6 l / ha as pre-emergent treatment shortly after sowing.
- It can be also applied in early post-emergent treatments, especially in autumn or very early spring, when the targeted weeds have a maximum of 2-4 leaves. In this case, use a dosage of 2 l / ha.
- The seed should be covered with a thin layer of soil.
- For strawberries, the treatment is applied in early spring, when the crop plants begin their vegetation.
- To be effective, the application of the product must be followed by watering the soil with a large amount of water, 200-400 l / ha of water.
