Product information
Nicogan 40 SC, 5 litres is a modern herbicide that helps control annual and perennial monocotyledonous weeds in corn crops. It has total selectivity for corn plants and is quickly absorbed through the surface of leaves and partially through the roots and is translocated upwards and downwards to all growth points of plants.
Benefits:
- Post-emergent herbicide;
- Quick absorption within the plant;
- Complete, systemic protection;
- No phytotoxic effects;
- Highly compatible with other crop products;
- Cost effective liquid formula;
- Temperature sensitive with no residual effect.
Action mode:
Nicogan 40 SC - systemic corn protection:
- Nicogan 40 SC delivers selective herbicidal action against annual and perennial weeds and grasses in corn crops;
- Nicosulfuron is an active substance that is quickly absorbed through leaves and roots, and then translocated through the xylem and phloem (action systemic);
- Nicosulfuron inhibits branched-chain amino acid biosynthesis by interfering with acetolactate enzyme synthase (ALS);
- Sensitive weeds stop growing, discoloration of young leaves appears and is followed by necrosis and plant death;
- Nicogan 40 SC will only affect sprouted weeds.
Methods of application:
- Use in either dry or rainy conditions (2-3 hours after rainfall);
- To combat annual monocotyledonous weeds, it is recommended to apply them to the breeding phase at a rate of 0.8 l / ha. To combat rhizomes, the treatment is applied when it has a height of 10-20 cm;
- Protect wildlife, fish, crustaceans, and the environment while using the product;
- Apply Nicogan 40 SC for early and late post-emergent weed treatments.
- Annual grass weeds and perennial weeds are affected by Nicogan 40 SC at the 2-3 leave stage before twinning.
- Perennial weeds require the application of a higher dose and need to be at the 10-25 cm height.
Compatibility:
Compatible with most of the crop products available on the market.
Before mixing with other crop protection products, perform a small-scale compatibility test.
Recommendations:
- Like any systemic post-emergent herbicide, the effects are greatly influenced by climatic and vegetation conditions at the time of application. Absorption and translocation are much more efficient when weeds have conditions for optimal growth (light, heat, water, food).
- Applications do not cause phytotoxic effects.
- Applications should not be performed if rain is expected within 4-5 hours.
- The recommended volume of solution per hectare is 200 to 400 L ha.
- For annual monocotyledonous weeds - 0.8 l per ha.
- For Sorghum - 1 to 1.5 l per ha.
