Product information
Magistral 50 SC, 20 litres is a professional herbicide based on Metazachlor, an active substance from the chloroacetanilide group. It is intended to combat a wide spectrum of weeds emerging from the seed.
Benefits:
- residual effect that protects crops from new waves of weeding until the end of the rows
- biological selectivity and long retention of the product
- it combats very well most species of annual and perennial weeds sprouted from seed, both dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous
Action mode:
This herbicide with systemic action gets activated by rain or irrigation water, the active substance being easily absorbed and translocated by sensitive weeds, through the roots. Then it blocks cell division by inhibiting the synthesis of proteins, fatty acids and lignin.
Methods of application for autumn rapeseed:
- apply either pre-emergent shortly after sowing, or early post-emergent (in autumn or even very early spring, when vegetation resumes and sensitive dicotyledonous weeds have a maximum of 2-4 leaves
- in the post-emergent phase, increase the dose of SULTAN 50 SC up to 2.0 l/ha
- in the pre-emergence application lower the dose (1.6 l/ha) and cover the seed with a layer thin of earth
- use normal volumes of solution per hectare
Compatibility:
- unknown
- the product is not explosive, not corrosive and is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.
Recommendations and approved doses:
- 1.2 – 1.6 l/ha pre-emergence and 1.6 – 2.0 l/ha post-emergence
