Product information
Bromotril 40 EC, 5 litres is a contact herbicide featuring a powerful active ingredient that provides quality control over dicotyledonous weeds.
Benefits:
- Contains a powerful active substance (bromoxynil);
- Quality contact action against dicotyledonous weed species;
- Controls both annual and perennial weeds;
- Fast-acting effects;
- Improves the quality of harvesting.
Action mode:
- Once applied, the herbicide has contact action against weeds;
- The active substance penetrates the plants(without translocation) and inhibits photosynthesis;
- Affected plants dry out within 5 to 7 days after treatment;
- Ensures the desiccation of the crop and cleans the land of most of the dicotyledonous weeds(both annual and perennial), thus facilitating the harvest and significantly reducing weed presence for the next season.
Methods of application:
Bromotril 40 EC is applied to sunflower and rapeseed crops 5 to 7 days before harvesting when seeds have reached maturity.
For corn, it is applied post-emergent, when weeds are in the 2 to 4 leaf stage.
Dose:
Sunflower - 2 l per ha(before harvesting).
Rapeseed - 1 to 1.5 l per ha mixed with Trend adjuvant(before harvesting).
Corn - 1 l per ha(post-emergent when crops are in the 4-6 leaf stage and weeds in the 2-4 leaf stage).
Wheat - 1 l per ha(post-emergent starting with twinning until weeds have 2-4 leaves).
Compatibility:
Compatible with most of the crop products available on the market.
Before mixing with other crop protection products, perform a small-scale compatibility test.
Crop | Weeds attacked | Application moment | Dose |
Sunflower | Desiccant | Before harvesting | 2 l/ha |
Rapeseed | Desiccant (at seed moisture of 30%) | Before harvesting | 1-1.5 l/ha + Trend |
Corn | Annual dicotyledons | Postemergence when corn has 4-6 leaves and weeds 2-4 leaves | 1 l/ha |
Wheat | Annual dicotyledons | Postemergence (twin wheat until the first internode, weeds 2-4 leaves) | 1 l/ha |
Recommendations:
- Do not apply when crop canopy covers weeds as poor weed control will result;
- Do not use spray pressures of 200kPa;
- Coarse nozzles and low-pressure jets are not recommended.
- Protect wildlife, fish, crustaceans, and the environment while using the product;
- Apply using a properly calibrated boom sprayer, capable of giving uniform coverage at a spray volume of between 200 and 500L water/ha;
- Use higher water rates for dense weed infestations and weeds at the larger recommended growth stages. Good even coverage of weed foliage is important because of the contact action of this product;
