Product information
Pronamide is a professional herbicide designed for the selective control of certain grasses and broadleaf weeds. Thanks to PROPYZAMIDE as the active constituent, the product is readily absorbed by roots. It works primarily by preventing cell division (mitosis). Pronamide impacts upon mitosis, by preventing proteins required for spindle fibre production. Spindle fibres are critical in transferring DNA to new cells in the mitotic sequence. As a result of Pronamide application, spindle fibres do not form, leading to lack of cell division, which leads to cessation of growth and eventual death.
