Product information
Poa Chek is a selective postemergence herbicide formulated specifically for the control of winter grass. For winter grass heavily infested turf it is really important that a programme of sprigging and reseeding be carried out after the treatment. It is not persistent in the soil and reseeding can take place 2 weeks after application. Large areas of dead winter grass may form a thatch that may be conducive to spread of turf diseases and it is important that a precautionary disease control program be carried out also. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Poa Chek and other Group K herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant plants can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by Poa chek or other Group K herbicides.
