Product information
DIRECTIONS OF USE:
PANTERA is a selective post emergent grass herbicide registered for use in canola, dry beans, groundnuts, Lucerne, medics, sunflowers and soybeans cucurbits, cruciferae, potatoes, onions, tomatoes and grapes. It will be applied to young, actively growing grass weeds at the 2-6 leaf stage of growth to ensure optimal weed control. It is absorbed by the leaves of grasses and moves throughout the entire plant. It accumulates in growing points of shoots and rhizomes where it interferes with normal cell functions leading to death of the plant. The first signs of activity appear 5 to 10 days after application with stunting and chlorosis of the tips of shoots. Death of the weeds occurs 14 to 21 days after application depending on growing conditions.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
Make sure the tank is thoroughly clean and all residues from previous operations are completely removed, especially after the use of hormone-based herbicides. Half-fill the spray tank with water before adding the required quantity of product or Roundup PowerMax or Roundup Turbo, into the spray tank. Roundup Turbo and PANTERA are recommended in the pre-planting situation whilst Roundup PowerMax and PANTERA are recommended for over the top applications in Roundup Ready soybeans.
Follow the following mixing procedures:Half-fill the spray tank with water, then pour the required amount of product into the spray tank while the water is being stirred. Top
up with water to the final volume required. Ensure to add then in the following order i.e. Ammonium sulphate, Roundup, PANTERA and Silwet L-77.
Ensure thorough agitation of the mixture in the tank during mixing and spraying. Do not allow the spray mixture to stand in the spray tank for prolonged periods.
COMPATIBILITY:
When mixing the other agricultural remedies, adhere to all the label recommendations. This product can be mixed with Roundup Turbo, Roundup PowerMax and/or Guardian S EC, and Silwet L-77.
APPLICATION
Apply it only on young, actively growing weeds, under favourable and humid conditions. It is essential that the entire plant is thoroughly covered by the herbicide spray mixture. This product may be applied with any accurately calibrated medium or high volume sprayer, that is equipped with an efficient agitation mechanism, provided that adequate coverage and even distribution is obtained. Ensure to limit the formation of the droplets smaller than 150 microns. Best results are obtained by using flat-fan type nozzles.
For post-emergence control of grasses, Apply between 200 to 400 ℓ/ha of clean water at pressures of 100 to 150 kpa.
To ensure complete and even coverage on the leaves of volunteer maize, the addition of Silwet L-77 is recommended at a dose rate of 0.025%.
Do not use Silwet L-77 when spraying PANTERA EC and Roundup PowerMAX as tank mix, on top of Roundup Ready® Soybean
RESTRICTIONS OF USE:
-Do not apply to crops or weeds which are under stress
-Prevent spray over or allow spray drift to come into contact with neighbouring crops or pastures especially cereal type crops for example maize, barley, oats, rye and wheat.
-PANTERA is quickly degraded in the soil and offers full rotational flexibility
The following guidelines should be followed for replanting if a crop, treated with PANTERA EC, failed for some reason (e.g. hail):
-Crops that are suitable for treatment, may be replanted at any time
-Allow a waiting period of four weeks before any other broadleaf crop is planted
-Allow a minimum waiting period of six weeks before planting a cereal crop
