Basagran Forte EC is a post-emergent herbicide created to be used against dicotyledonous weeds that usually affect soy, bean, lucerne and potato crops. Cost effective and efficient this professional product is based on bentazone 480 g / l and acts by contact, intermingling with plants especially at the level of the foliar appliance. The spectrum of action includes annual dicotyledonous weeds, including those considered to be Solanum sp. (zarna), Xanthium sp. Abutilon theophrasti, Chenopodium album (caprita), Amaranthus sp. (news). The active ingredient is mainly taken up by leaves and other green organs of the plant. The effect on weeds is visible in two days after application and is manifested by the yellowing of the plants and then their necrosis.

Product usage:
- Basic herbicide in soybean crop weed technology;
- As postemergence broadleaf weed control in soybeans, dry beans, peas, corn (grain, silage, sweet and seed), flax (excluding low linolenic acid varieties), sorghum and millet (grain and forage), and fava beans forage and grain sorghum, and forage and grain millet;
- The product does not control grasses.
Recommendations:
- Use a minimum of 200 L/ha if crop canopy or heavy weed population interferes with thorough spray coverage, or under cool temperature;
- Use larger water volumes (up to 300 L/ha) for weeds at the upper limit of their recommended stage for treatment;
- Spray pressure: between 275 kPa and 425 kPa;
- Spray a minimum of 25 cm wide band;
- Not to be used in periods with wind;
- For a better control mix with a nitrogen source such as 28% UAN, PINNACLE, PURSUIT or BLAZER, depending upon target weeds;
- The maximum effect is obtained when the temperature is above 18oC, the atmospheric humidity is higher than 40% and does not rain within the next 8 hours after the treatment. The product is applied post-emergence when the weeds are raised, small and in the active growth period, in the phase of cotyledons to 2-4 true leaves.
