Product information
Active substance: Metazachlor 500 g / l
Characteristics:
SULTAN 50 SC contains metazachlor, the active substance in the chloroacetanilide group, which combats a broad spectrum of seed-bearing weeds. It is a systemic herbicide activated by rain or irrigation water, the active substance being easily absorbed and translocated by sensitive weeds through the roots. Inside, they act by blocking cell division by inhibiting the synthesis of proteins, fatty acids and lignin.Faced with the crops of the Cruciferae family (rape, mustard, various vegetables, etc.) it has biological selectivity and as such can be applied both pre-emergence and early postemergence . The product retention is long enough, so that by its residual effect it protects the cultures of new impregnation waves until the end of the rows.
Mode of action:
In autumn rape, Sultan 50 SC is applied either pre-emergent shortly after sowing or early post-emergence (in autumn or even very early spring, on resuming vegetation), when sensitive dicotyledonous weeds have a maximum of 2-4 leaves. In this later case, the dose of Sultan 50 SC increases to 2 l / ha, while at pre-emergence the dose is lower (1.6 l / ha).
Recommended doses:
Autumn Rape - Annual monocotyledonous weeds (Echinochloa) - 1.2-1.6 l / ha pre-emergence;
Autumn Rape - Annual Dicotyledonous weeds (Amaranthus, Chenopodium, Capsella, Matricaria, Gallium at the optimum phase of 2-4 leaves) - 1.6-2 l / ha post-emergence;
Mustard, Cabbage and Autumn Cauliflower - Dicotyledonous weeds (annual and some perennial) and monocotyledonous - 1.5 l / ha pre-emergent and post-emergent;
Strawberries, strawberry stoners - Annual monocotyledonous and Dicotyledonous weeds from seeds - 0.5 l / ha (in 300 liters of water).
