USE RESTRICTIONS
- Do not spray RACER CS directly adjacent to leafy crops, especially vines and fruit trees or brassica species. It’s vapours or drift may damage such crops.
- Follow-up crops: Do not plant tomatoes, tobacco, cruciferous crops or cucurbits within 12 months of application. If more than 1,25 ℓ / ha of this product had been appliedn then these crops may only be planted 18 months after application. Do not plant any crop within 6 months of a RACER application, except those on which this product is registered. Do not sow any seedbeds within 18 months after a applying RACER. Soil must be deeply ploughed and cultivated before follow-up crop is planted. In the event of uncertainty, contact your supplier.
- Do not use it for more than 3 years in succession on deciduous fruit.
- Under cropping conditions, do not apply it more than once per year to the same land and then only at the recommended rate.
- Spraying equipment used for applying this product may not be used for foliar spraying.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use only as directed
- Apply as a pre-emergence spray to both crop and weeds. Apply immediately or as soon as possible after planting of the crop.
- It is important to make sure that the seedbed is free from any existing weed growth as well as in a state of fine tilth prior to application.
- Rain of at least 15 mm is required to activate and leach the chemical into the soil before weed seeds germinate.
- It would be preferable to use this product during times when the regular occurrence of rain is expected as the performance of the chemical is enhanced by soil moisture content.
- Compatibility: Although no known cases of incompatibility with other agricultural chemicals have been noted with RACER it is advisable to pre-mix small quantities of the chemicals in water in a container to ascertain compatibility prior to mixing in spray tank.
- Use only clean water in spray tank.
- Always ensure that spray equipment is clean, free of all sediments etc. and correctly calibrated before spraying.
- Spraying equipment: Apply with a tractor boom sprayer fitted with wide angle flat fan nozzles. Apply with low pressure (200 kPa) in 200 – 400 ℓ water / ha. Adjust boom as low as possible to allow adequate overlapping of the spray pattern.
- Wind: Do not apply it when the wind speed exceeds 6 km / h .
- NOTE: Wash spray tank / equipment immediately after use with this product by thoroughly rinsing at least 3 times with clean water. Do not let it stand in spray tank.
PRECAUTIONS
- Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst handling this product.
- Prevent contamination of food, feed, drinking water and eating utensils
- Wear rubber gloves and face shield when handling the concentrate. If you get it in your eyes, flush it out at once. If you get it on you skin, wash it off at once. If you spill it on your clothes, change and wash them.
- Invert the empty container over the spray or mixing tank and allow to drain for at least 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container. Add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container.
- While spraying, avoid contact with the spray as much as you can. Avoid spray drift onto other crops, grazing rivers or dams.
- Clean applicator thoroughly after use and dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers or dams. Destroy empty container and do not use for any other purpose. Change and wash your work clothes. Wash yourself.
