Product information
Active substance: Bifenox 480 gr / liter
Characteristics:
It is a pelicular herbicide with flexible application for sunflower. Modown 4 F contains bifenox, an active substance with long-lasting herbicidal contact and residual action. The residual activity of the product is very dependent on temperature and sunshine, so that in conditions of high temperatures and stronger sunshine the product remains better (3-4 weeks) and the herbicidal effect more intense. Modown 4 F applies normally in preemergence, after sowing of the crop and until the weeds grow.
Mode of action:
When applied pre-emergence, the product forms a continuous film on the surface of the soil, which when crossed by weeds is rising is absorbed by hypocotyl and causes the death of sensitive weeds. in this case, the degree of crushing of the soil is of great importance, so that there are not more bulgarian soil that interrupts the herbicidal film and around which they manage to grow weeds without treatment. It is very important that after pre-emergence application, for at least 3-4 weeks, do not enter with any equipment on Modown 4 F treated sole to avoid interruption of the herbicidal film by the wheels or active organs of the machines. Also, rains or irrigation during the 2 weeks after treatment increase the effectiveness of treatment with Modown 4 F.
In post-emergence application, Modown 4 F has a special contact with dicotyledonous weeds. Also, due to the lack of any systemic activity, the product does not migrate into underground breeding organs (rhizomes, roots) and perennial weeds are usually restored after treatment. Monocotyledonous weeds are susceptible to post-emergence application only when they are in very younger phases (needles), after which they are very difficult to combat with Modown 4 F, usually with a specific antigraminetic treatment .
